Kenseth gives up late lead, finishes 2nd at Samsung 500

April 16, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin's Matt Kenseth gave up the lead on the final lap, getting passed by Jeff Burton who took the checkered flag and won the Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Burton becomes the first driver to win twice in Texas.  The only lap he led was the most important final lap.

Kenseth last won the race in 2003.  By finishing 2nd, Kenseth fell just short of a weekend sweep after winning the Busch Series race on Saturday.
