Packers sign Barnett to contract extension

April 10, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Green Bay Packers signed linebacker Nick Barnett to a long-term contract extension today.

Barnett's deal is reportedly for six years and will make him one of the defense's highest paid players.

Barnett had one year left on his current contract that would have paid him $1.95 million this coming season.

Barnett will appear at a noon press conference at Lambeau Field today.
