Thompson brings his message home

April 4, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Tommy Thompson unveiled his presidential campaign on familiar ground Wednesday. The former governor and HHS secretary was at the Tommy G. Thompson Auditorium of Milwaukee Mesmer High School. Thompson has been all over the national media recently, but this was his "official" announcement. "President Reagan had great expectations for America because he had such great expectations for the American people, and so do I, and so must America once again," said Thompson. And so it is with the greatest expectations for the future of our nation that I announce my candidacy for President of the United States of America." Thompson is seen as a long shot in the crowded Republican presidential field. (Thanks to Ann-Elise Henzl, WUWM)
