Tomahawk killing

April 19, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Tomahawk police have made an arrest in the stabbing death woman earlier this month. A 24-year-old Rhinelander man is under arrest and faces charges in the death of 42-year-old Tracy Maurer. Seth Louis is being held without bail in the Lincoln County jail. Tomahawk police Chief Don Johnson says detectives are waiting for crime lab test results before they close their investigation into Maurer's death. Tomahawk police would not give a motive into Maurer's death, but court documents reveal that Louis was upset Maurer hadn't paid him for a computer he sold her. Louis was at Maurer's house the night she died, but said another person there killed her. Louis and Maurer were co-workers at a fast food restaurant in Tomahawk. Louis will make an initial court appearance next week. [Thanks to Matt Lehman, WSAU]
