Braun Gets The Call

May 25, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The future is now for one of the Brewers top minor league prospects.  GM Doug Melvin called up 3 rd baseman Ryan Braun late last night.  Braun is expected to be in the starting lineup tonight when the Brewers open up a three game series in San Diego.  Braun was hitting .322 with 10 homers and 22 RBI at Triple-A Nashville.  Despite going just 4 and 9 over their last 13 games, the Brewers have been able to hold a solid lead in the National League Central with a 28-18 record.  Tonight they will send Dave Bush to the mound against the Padres Greg Maddux.
