Brewers shoot for sweep against Nationals

May 9, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers knocked off the Washington Nationals 6-4 last night, giving them 5 straight wins and 9 of the last 10.  The Nationals have dropped 7-straight.

Prince Fielder, J-J Hardy and Johnny Estrada all homered in the win and Dave Bush went 6 2/3 innings to pick up his 3rd win (3-3) of the season.  Bush allowed 7-hits.  Francisco Cordero worked the 9th for his 14th save.

Hardy collected two hits, the home run and a double to stretch his hitting streak to 19-straight games.

The Brewers improved to a league best 23-10 on the season and are 8-1 on their current 10-game home stand.  They'll close out the series and the homestand with a day game at Miller Park today.
