Fallen Deputy remembered in Kenosha County

May 23, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Law enforcement officers from LaCrosse to Brown County came together Wednesday morning at Carthage College, to mourn the loss of of Kenosha County Sheriff's Deputy Frank Fabiano, Junior. The officers joined family and friends, including dignitaries such as Governor Jim Doyle, in honoring Deputy Fabiano, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth delivered an emotional remembrance for the fallen deputy, recalling Fabiano's love for his family, his job, and the game of golf. Beth also asked Fabiano's wife and daughter to look around at their "Guardian Angels." The Sheriff said Fabiano's fellow officers are mourning his loss, but remain brave with the reminder of the sacrifice he made.

Milwaukee Arch Bishop Timothy Dolan offered the final commendation for Fabiano before his casket left the chapel for the ceremony. As it traveled down a Kenosha street, people lined the street to pay their last respects.
