Hockey Badgers release 2007-08 schedule

May 10, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The University of Wisconsin Badger men's hockey team will open the 2007-08 season on the road.  The teams schedule was released today.

The Badgers will open up Oct. 12th and 13th in the Lefty McFadden Tournament in Dayton, Ohio.  They'll be joined by Notre Dame, Ohio State and Mercyhurst.

The Badgers then play six straight at home, starting with Robert Morris Oct. 19th and 20th.

Wisconsin opens WCHA play November 2nd and 3rd against Michigan Tech at the Kohl Center, followed by a 2-game weekend series against North Dakota on November 9th and 10th at the Kohl Center.

The Badgers hit the road for the College Hockey Showcase this season with games at Michigan and Michigan State on Nov. 23rd and 24th.

Wisconsin faces Colgate in the opening round of the Badger Hockey Showdown on Dec. 28th at the Kohl Center.  Bowling Green and NorthEastern make up the other half of that tournament field.

The Badgers won't face the Minnesota Golden Gophers at home until January 25th and 26th.  They'll return to Minnesota on Feb. 22nd and 23rd.

The WCHA playoffs start the weekend of March 14-16.  The NCAA Frozen Four is held this year in Denver, April 10-12.
