NCAA baseball regionals open today

The NCAA Division 3 men's baseball regionals open today.  Four Wisconsin teams are in the field, including three of them that will play in Wisconsin Rapids at Witter Field.

UW-Stevens Point opens up at noon against St. Scholastica.  The Pointers won the WIAC tournament championship to gain the automatic spot in the field.  UW-Oshkosh gained one of 14 at large spots in the field.  The Titans will face St. Thomas of Minnesota at 3:30 today.  Ripon College, which won the Midwest Conference tournament over St. Norbert College, will face St. Olaf at 7pm tonight.

Carthage College is the fourth Wisconsin team in action.  Carthage College is playing in the Illinois-Wesleyan Regional.  They're squaring off against Washington University this afternoon.
