NCAA Div. 3 women's softball regionals start today

Four Wisconsin teams are in the field for the start of the Division 3 NCAA women's softball regionals.  Three of the four are from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference ( WIAC ).  UW-Eau Claire, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stevens Point received bids in the 59-team tournament field.

This year, UW-Eau Claire earned one of 36 automatic bids into the NCAA event by winning the WIAC Tournament for the second straight season and will host a regional.  St. Norbert College, from the Midwest Conference is also in the field and will join Oshkosh and Eau Claire in Eau Claire. 

UW-Stevens Point opens play today in the Decorah, Iowa 7-team regional.
