Oshkosh stays alive in NCAA baseball regional

May 18, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Brian Gerl allowed just one run to score after encountering a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the fifth, then pitched the rest of the way to lead UW-Oshkosh to a 11-5 win over St. Scholastica in the NCAA Division 3 baseball regionals at Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.

The Titans (33-11) will face fourth-seeded St. Olaf (32-9) in another elimination game this afternoon.  The Oles stayed in the tournament by beating top-seeded UW-Stevens Point 7-3 on Thursday.
