Study shows Wisconsinites unhappy with health care

May 2, 2007 By WRN Contributor

A new survey released by AARP Wisconsin shows an overwhelming number of people believe the state is facing big problems when it comes to health care. The study found 49 percent of respondents believe there are major problems, 13 percent believe health care is in a state of crisis, and only 2 percent feel there are no problems at all with the current system.

AARP State President Patricia Finder-Stone says the health care system in Wisconsin is clearly broken. She says state lawmakers need to come together and do something to repair it. Finder-Stone says the issue of health care reform needs cross party lines in order to reach a solution that benefits the entire state.

The survey of 800 random people was conducted by phone in March of this year. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent.
