Suspects alleged to have set Oneida Co. fires

May 2, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Oneida County authorities arrest two Rhinelander men for intentionally setting fires last weekend. Chief Deputy Sheriff John Sweeney says the two men are accused of setting multiple wildfires and burning a cabin near Rhinelander to cove up a burglary. Sweeney says a tipster led authorities to 58-year-old Edward Riley and 18-year-old Matthew Recha, who face several charges referring the two to the district attorney's office for several charges. Sweeney says the fires drained the resources of local firefighters.
