Bucks looking for impact player in NBA Draft tonight

June 28, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Bucks own the 6th pick in the first round of the NBA Draft tonight.  They'll be looking for an immediate impact player with that selection and the depth in this draft should provide that.

The Bucks have needs at point guard, small and power forward and should be able to land a player that can help at any of those positions.

Milwaukee covets power forward Al Horford from Florida, but he's not expected to be there by the 6th pick.  Another player that could be there is point guard Mike Conley Jr.

Some draft experts initially thought Conley would go to Atlanta with the 3rd pick, but experts in the Hawks camp now believe Horford is headed for Atlanta instead.  It's believed Memphis could grab Horford's Florida teammate Corey Brewer which means only Boston stands in the way at #5 of the Bucks having the chance to select Conley.

Forwards Brandan Wright of North Carolina and Jeff Green of Georgetown have also been rumored to be drawing interest from the Bucks.
