Bullfrogs extend winning streak to 12 in a row

June 22, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The expansion Green Bay Bullfrogs ran their Northwoods League win streak to 12-straight games, knocking off the Madison Mallards 8-5 in Green Bay on Thursday night.  The Bullfrogs trailed it 4-0 early before Sean Dovel (Loyola-Marymount) clubbed a three-run home run to start the comeback.  Green Bay has a 5-game lead on Eau Claire in the South Division standings.

La Crosse earned a come-from-behind victory last night, 2-1 over Duluth.  Eric Thames (Pepperdine) drove in the tying run with a ninth-inning triple and scored the go-ahead run when Cole White (Army) singled, giving the Loggers the comeback win.

UW-Whitewater's Jordan Stine doubled in Matt Gantner in the 9th to give the Wisconsin Woodchucks a 3-2 win over Thunder Bay.

The Eau Claire Express scored a pair of unearned runs in the bottom of the 9th to come from behind and beat Alexandria 4-3 at Carson Park.  The Express scored the winning run on  a wild pitch and have now won five of their last six and for the first time this season, moved past the .500 mark (11-10).
