Green Bay stays hot in Northwoods league

The expansion Green Bay Bullfrogs ran their win streak to 11 straight games, knocking off Alexandria 8-3 in Northwoods League baseball action.  The Bullfrogs are off to a 15-5 start and will host the Madison Mallards in the first of a two game series tonight.

La Crosse and Thunder Bay combined for 35 runs and 44 hits in a 20-15 Loggers victory.  Eric Thames (Pepperdine) went 6 for 6 for La Crosse and hit for the cycle in the win.  The game took 3 hours and 40 minutes to complete.

The Madison Mallards beat Battle Creek 3-2 in Madison last night.  5,453 fans showed up to see the home town team pull out the win.

Eau Claire pitched a shutout against Waterloo.  Adam Worthington (Illinois-Chicago) tossed 7 innings of 1-hit ball to earn the win for the Express.

The Wisconsin Woodchucks fell to Duluth 3-2.
