There's a million bucks available, to help Wisconsin truckers reduce idling. Tony Hozeny with the Wisconsin Department of Commerce says a typical diesel truck will burn more than gallon of fuel per hour simply by idling. But idling reduction units can reduce air pollution emission — and fuel costs. For second year in a row, a Commerce Department grant program will reimburse motor carriers up to seventy percent of purchase and installation costs for idling reduction technology. Applications will be accepted beginning July 1st, details are available at the department's website .
