AARP hearing "horror stories" about health care

July 19, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Officials with the AARP Wisconsin say they're getting an earful, as they travel the state on a 4,500 mile Health Care Express tour of every Senate district.

Spokesman Jim Flaherty says many seniors have told them about having to make the choice between buying their prescription drugs or having to pay for rent and food. He says the current system clearly isn't filling the gaps in the needs of seniors.

The group is using the tour to encourage lawmakers to take action.
