Bemowski hopes back injury won't derail him

July 4, 2007 By WRN Contributor

With the Men's U.S. Senior Open just a day away, Mukwonago's Mark Bemowski is hoping a back injury he re-aggravated before his Tuesday practice round at Whistling Straits, won't hamper his chances this week.

Bemowski said he was planning to seek some therapy after injurying his back on the driving range.

Bemowski said his practice round was a struggle during his practice round, saying every time he got to impact, there was pain.

The 60 year old Bemowski won the 2004 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship.  He's appeared in two previous U.S. Senior Opens but failed to make the cut both times.
