Hall says he's optimistic about quick return to Brewers lineup

July 13, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Major League Baseball all-star break couldn't have come at a better time for Brewers center fielder Bill Hall.

Hall said he's hoping to be ready to play when he comes off the disabled list next Friday.  He said tests showed there was no "high" sprain but rather a sprain on the inside of the ankle and a minor sprain on the outside.

It was originally anticipated that Hall might miss 4 to 6 weeks after he injured his ankle while attempting to rob Ryan Doumit of a home run in Pittsburgh.
