Harrington Wins British Open…Stricker Fades

Padraig Harrington came from 6 shots back to win the British Open in a playoff over 3 rd round leader Sergio Garcia at Carnoustie.  Garcia missed a putt to win golf's 3 rd Major of the year on the 18 th before losing the four hold playoff by 1 shot.  Wisconsin native Steve Stricker struggled to a 3-over 74 while playing with Garcia in the final group.  He finished The Open at -3 and tied for 8 th .
