Middleton tops list of "best places to live"

July 16, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Another Wisconsin city is joining the ranks of the best places to live in America.

Money Magazine has named Middleton as the best place to live in America for 2007. Chamber of Commerce executive director Van Nutt says it's an exciting honor that says a lot about the leadership in the city, and the leadership that has been used to move the city forward.

Nutt hopes the award will draw new attention to the Madison suburb. He says it could spark interest from companies looking to relocate to the region.

The competition focused on cities with a population between 7,500 and 50,000. Middleton is at just over 17,000 people.

Middleton made the list as number seven in 2005. Madison earned the honor in 1996. Then, in 1998, it was named by mid-sized city in the Midwest.
