Sex with a corpse will be illegal

July 26, 2007 By WRN Contributor

A new bill will make necrophilia illegal in Wisconsin. Why is that needed? State Senator Dale Schultz says it's because of a case in Grant County last year, in which three young men were initially charged with attempted sexual assault after trying to dig up the body of a young woman who'd died in a motorcycle accident. A judge ruled state law does not prohibit sex with a corpse , and a state appeals court upheld that decision Tuesday, the same day Schultz's bill was introduced. Schultz says legislators felt badly for the family of the dead woman, and the bill is intended to prevent this type of crime from happening again. The three men in the Grant County case were convicted of lesser charges.
