Voters could sound off on the war in Iraq

July 3, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin voters may get a chance to weigh in on the war.

The Legislature is being asked to put an advisory referendum on the Presidential Primary ballot next February, which would call for the US to withdraw its troops from Iraq. Westport Democrat Dave Travis is behind the move. He says it's written in a non-partisan fashion, and he believes most people will not object to the question going out to voters.

If a referendum is scheduled on withdrawing our troops, Travis thinks it would pass.
