Badgers picked 2nd in Big Ten football poll

August 1, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Big Ten pre-season football poll is out and the Conference's media pick the Wisconsin Badgers to finish second, behind Michigan.

The Big Ten Conference releases only the top three media picks and Ohio State is picked to finish 3rd.

Wisconsin's selection as the No. 2 team marked the first time since 2001 a team other than Ohio State and Michigan cracked the top two of the poll.

The Badgers return 18 starters from last years team, but must find a replacement at both quarterback and left tackle.  Meanwhile, Michigan must find replacements for 7 starters on defense.
