Football Friday Night goes dark

August 31, 2007 By WRN Contributor

To the many great high school football fans that have come to our website for Football Friday Night and the scores that go along with it, you're probably wondering where we were last week.

We've decided to pull the plug on the program for reasons that had nothing to do with the program itself and I assure you the reasons are valid.  The quality of the show was not in question, nor was the commitment of the many people that helped put the show together each week.  We had a great, dedicated staff, and a tremendous amount of cooperation from the coaches and schools.

Football Friday Night has been received very well and now that it's gone, I've had many questions and subsequent complements from coaches, officials and fans.  To all of you, thank you for the many kind words.

We'll be watching from the sidelines this season and all of us at the Wisconsin Radio Network wish you and your team(s) great success.
