But for the 15th time this season, the Brewers have watched an opponent come from 3+ runs down to beat Milwaukee.
Hunter Pence clubbed a two run triple as a part of a 4-run 8th and the Houston Astros came back to win it 9-7.
Derrick Turnbow got the first man he faced (Mark Loretta) in the 8th, then he walked Luke Scott, allowed a single to Ty Wiggington and walked pinch hitter Mike Lamb. Brian Shouse then came on to give up a sacrifice fly to right off the bat of Craig Biggio. With Hunter Pence coming to the plate, Ned Yost went back to the bullpen for Greg Aquino, who had just been called up from the minors.
Pence then ripped the triple to left center for a 2-run, game tying triple. A Johnny Estrada passed ball plated the go-ahead run.
The Brewers remain a game and a half behind the Cubs in the NL Central. The Cubs also lost yesterday to the Dodgers.
