Brewers can draw within 1 tonight

September 27, 2007 By WRN Contributor

When the Milwaukee Brewers take the field tonight in the opener of a 4-game series with the San Diego Padres at Miller Park, they will know that a win will draw them to within 1-game of the Cubs in the National League Central.

The Cubs were swept by the Florida Marlins, falling 6-4 in a late afternoon game today down in Miami.

A Brewers win would put them 1-game out in the Central with 3-games left for each team.

The Cubs close out the regular season with a 3-game series in Cincinnati starting Friday night.
