Brewers club six home runs in win over Reds

September 10, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers are back in first place all by themselves today after pounding the Cincinnati Reds 10-5 on Sunday.

The Brewers started the game by clubbing three straight home runs, back-to-back-to-back off of the bats of Rickie Weeks, J.J. Hardy and Ryan Braun, all part of a six home run day for the Brewers in the win.

Ben Sheets picked up the win, improving to 12-4 on the season and 2-0 since his return to the lineup from a hand injury.

The Brewers moved a full game in front of the Cubs and three games up on St. Louis in the Central after both those teams lost yesterday.

The Brewers open a series in Pittsburgh against the Pirates tonight.
