Brewers fall back into first place tie atop NL Central

September 13, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Ronny Paulino singled in the go-ahead run in Pittsburgh's 3-run 8th and the pirates went on to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4.

Pinch-hitter Josh Phelps followed Paulino's hit with a two run triple, all off of Derrick Turnbow (4-5).

The Brewers tied the game in the 8th at 4-4 and pinch hitter Geoff Jenkins took the count to 3-0 with the bases loaded before John Grabow came back to strike out Jenkins and pitch out of the jam.

Matt Capps pitched the 9th for his 16th sve in 18 opportunities.

Damian Miller had two hits, including his 4th home run of the season in the loss.
