Brewers owner gives Yost a vote of confidence

September 4, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio has given the teams manager, Ned Yost a vote of confidence.

Attanasio and General Manager Doug Melvin both feel that Yost appears to be the subject of an extraordinary amount of criticism and second-guessing among fans this season.

Attanasio said when he reads the newspapers in Los Angeles and New York, there isn't the level of daily analysis of moves by well-respected managers like Joe Torre, Willie Randolph and Mike Scioscia.

Attanasio said he felt Yost has been consistent all year and said it was a mistake to evaluate a manager on a point-by-point, pitch-by-pitch, game-by-game basis.
