Palmer could be sidelined for season

September 18, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay Packers reserve offensive lineman Tony Palmer could be sidelined for the remainder of the season after sustaining a small-bone fracture in his neck during Sunday's road win over the New York Giants.

The injury, which happened on a kickoff, was originally diagnosed as a neck stinger.  But Palmer was sent to the hospital and held overnight after the fracture was discovered.

Palmer is expected to undergo more tests to determine his future for the remainder of the season.
