Wisconsin makes deals in China

Governor Doyle wraps up his trade mission to China declaring it a success.

Governor Doyle speaking to reporters from Beijing, says many of the brands you see in China are Made in Wisconsin such as Kohler Plumbing, Johnson Controls, GE Medical and now Tomo Therapy.

Also, in addition to six emergency response trucks at the Beijing airport, Osh Kosh Truck got a second contract for snow removal equipment. The trade group also toured next year's Olympics sites where they're laying down wooden floors made by several Wisconsin companies.

But the governor says Beijing pollution could be a problem for Olympic athletes. But the Governor says it's a sensitive issue for Chinese officials they're working on it.

One Chinese product Wisconsin will be importing;  Yi Jianlian, the Milwaukee Bucks # 1 pro basketball draft pick.

The Governor met with Yi during his Beijing trip and believes people in Wisconsin will like this young man. He's a star in China and many of the Bucks games will be televised there giving the Chinese yet another way to learn about Wisconsin.
