The Wisconsin Badger wrestling team is ranked No. 12 in the Amateur Wrestling News preseason poll. Aside from the team ranking, eight Badgers are ranked within the top 20 in their respective weight classes.
Senior Craig Henning (Chippewa Falls, Wis.) ranks the highest of any Badger at No. 2 at 157 lbs. As the runner-up at the 2007 NCAA Championship, Henning is in prime position to wrestle his way into the 2008 NCAA Championship finals. He finished the 2007-08 season. Junior Zach Tanelli (Short Hills, N.J.) also ranks within the top 10 with his No. 9 ranking at 133 lbs.
The Badgers will hold their annual Intra-Squad Scrimmage. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at the UW Field House and is free.
