Badgers 2 1/2 point underdogs at Illinois

October 3, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The 5th ranked Wisconsin Badgers will face Illinois in Champaign on Saturday as an underdog.

When the oddsmakers created the early week betting lines in Las Vegas, the Badgers were made 2 1/2 point underdogs.

The last time they played Illinois, the Illini jumped out to a 21-3 halftime lead in Madison last year before the Badgers rebounded for the win.

The Badgers are off to a 5-0 start, but have struggled defensively.  Illinois, after losing the season opener against Missouri, have reeled off 4-straight and are 4-1.  Illinois is coming off a 27-20 win over Penn State.
