Badgers back in top 5

October 1, 2007 By WRN Contributor

After a 37-34 win over Michigan State in Big Ten action on Saturday, the University of Wisconsin Badgers improved to 5-0 and moved up to the top 5 in both the AP and USA Today/Coaches polls.

Southern California, LSU, California, Ohio State and Wisconsin make up the top five in both polls.  LSU moved in front of USC in the AP Poll.

Wisconsin was ranked fifth earlier this season (Sept. 2), then proceeded to drop to No. 7 and No. 9 over the three following weeks.

The Badgers struggled defensively in their win over the Spartans on Saturday, allowing 564 total yards in the 3 point win.
