Bell trying to move ahead after contract scuffle

October 3, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Charlie Bell was hoping to become a member of the Miami Heat.  Miami offered him a 5-year, $18-million deal and Bell let it be known that he didn't want to return to Milwaukee.

But as a restricted free agent, Bell didn't control his own destiny.  The Bucks had the chance to match the offer, and they did.

Bell was hurt by the teams negotiating tactics and he let that be known.  Now the swing guard is in Milwaukee, taking part in training camp and he said the team would have no problem with him.
