Bomb scare at Clintonville High School

October 2, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Students and staff at Clintonville High School had an unexpected break in their day Tuesday. Clintonville Police Chief Terry Lorge says office staff at the school received a telephoned bomb threat at about 8:30 this morning, resulting in evacuation. Lorge says that went off smoothly: the building was competely emptied in about ten minutes.

Lorge says a couple of bomb sniffing dogs from the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department were brought in to sweep the school. Firefighters checked the buildings roof, and police officers made a visual inspection before students and staff were allowed back inside after about three hours. Lorge says they'll be questioning persons of interest in connection with the incident.
