Brewers end season on a high note

October 1, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Despite not making Major League Baseball's post season playoffs, the Milwaukee Brewers finished the season on a high note, winning their last two games, including Sunday's 11-6 win over the San Diego Padres at Miller Park.

San Diego's loss and Colorado's win, allowed the Rockies to move into a tie with the Padres for the WildCard lead.  Those two teams will play a 1-game tie breaker in Denver tonight.

Ryan Braun, Joe Dillon and Corey Hart all had two hits in the win for the Brewers.  Braun finished the season hitting .324 with 34 home runs and 97 rbi's.  Braun should be considered a shoein for the NL Rookie of the Year.

As a team, the Brewers finished 83-79, their first winning record since 1992.
