October 30, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers have reportedly told Geoff Jenkins representatives that they will not exercise the $9-million option on his contract.

The Brewers will be required to buyout the 2008 year at $1-million for Jenkins, who hit .255 with 21 home runs and 64 rbis' in 132 games last season.

Jenkins made $7 million in 2007, the final year of his current three-year, $23 million deal.
