Bucks open training camp, emphasize defense and rebounding

October 3, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Bucks opened their 2007 Training Camp in St. Francis and the emphasis is on rebounding and defense.

Coach Larry Krystkowiak opened his first training camp as Bucks coach, after moving into the job last March, for the final 18 games of the regular season.

The Bucks finished 29th in total defense last season and 30th in defensive rebounding.  Those two points were made clear to the players by the coaching staff on day 1.

The Bucks will see their top draft pick, Yi JianLian arrive in Milwaukee today (Wednesday).  He's scheduled to practice with the team for the first time on Thursday.

Listen / Download – Andrew Bogut says the Bucks can play much better defense. :22
