Former Badgers change NFL addresses

October 17, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Two former Wisconsin Badger football stars, changed NFL addresses on the day of the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday.

The San Diego Chargers acquired wide receiver Chris Chambers from the Miami Dolphins, sending a 2008 second-round draft pick to the Dolphins.  Chambers gives Chargers QB Phillip Rivers a veteran wide receiver to work with.  Chambers has 31 receptions for 415 yards but no touchdowns with Miami this season.

Tampa Bay also sent undisclosed draft picks in 2008 and 2009 to the Kansas City Chiefs for running back Michael Bennett.  Bennett has rushed for over 3,400 yards and 12 touchdowns during his 7-year NFL career.
