UW-Milwaukee women picked to win Horizon League title

October 11, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The UW-Milwaukee Panthers are the preseason Horizon League women's basketball favorites after the league released its annual preseason poll.

Defending champion UW-Green Bay was picked to finish 2nd.  The Lady Phoenix will go into the season minus three key players lost to graduation, including conference player of the year Nicole Soulis.

Green Bay is led by first year coach Matt Bollant.  He replaces longtime veteran coach Kevin Borseth who moved on to the Big Ten to coach Michigan.
