Badgers' Mehlhaff chosen as All-American

November 29, 2007 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin Senior kicker, Taylor Mehlhaff, has been named to the 2007 American Football Coaches Association All-America Team.  The AFCA All-America team is the only team selected solely by head football coaches throughout the country.

Mehlhaff led the team in scoring with 100 points, converting 20 of 24 field goals and 40 of 41 extra points.  The Aberdeen, South Dakota native was also a Lou Groza semifinalist and an All-Big Ten selection for the second consecutive season.

Mehlhaff and the rest of his Badger teammates resume practice this week in preparation for the 2008 Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida.  The game will mark the fourth-straight year the team has been in a January bowl.
