Favre and Testaverde makeup very old duo

November 15, 2007 By WRN Contributor

If Vinny Testaverde gets the start at quarterback for the Carolina Panthers at quarterback on Sunday, he and Brett Favre would make up the oldest pair of quarterbacks to start a NFL game.

The previous honor belonged to Testaverde and Arizona's 36-year old Kurt Warner when they squared off on Oct. 14th.

Testaverde turned 44 on Tuesday.  He could start against the Packers, or Carolina coach John Fox could go with David Carr, who is returning from a concussion.

The Green Bay Packers are 8-1 and trying to keep things rolling with a quick turn-around at Detroit on Thanksgiving Day.
