Hayes leads final PGA Tour event in effort to keep Tour playing card

November 2, 2007 By WRN Contributor

The PGA Tour's final event of the season is underway this weekend in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.  It's the Children's Miracle Network Classic and Appleton native J.P. Hayes, ranked 123rd on the Tour's money list, took a 1-shot lead in into today's 2nd round.

Hayes shot a 7-under par 65 on Thursday.

It's a big event for Hayes, as he attempts to hang on to his playing card for next year.  The top 125 players on the money list earn full-time playing status for next season.
