Kendall officially on board in Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Brewers officially signed veteran catcher Jason Kendall to a guaranteed $4.25-million 1-year contract on Wednesday.

Kendall can also earn up to an additional $1-million in performance bonuses next year.

Kendall hit .270 with 19 rbi's in 57 games with the Chicago Cubs after a midseason trade from Oakland, where he hit .226 with 33 rbi's for the A's.
