Snomo speed limit signed

Image: WIDNR Wisconsin snowmobilers will have to back off the gas at night again this winter. In a visit to Rhinelander, Governor Jim Doyle signed a bill extending a 55 mile per hour night time snowmobile speed limit. DNR administrative warden Gary Eddy says at night, snowmobilers are limited by the strength of their headlights and, reaction time. The governor's action extends the night time speed limit for snowmobiles for three more years. It had been in effect for a one year trial last winter.
