The Green Bay Packers are reportedly working on a new contract for General Manager Ted Thompson.
Thompson is in the 3rd year of a five-year deal that averages about $1 million a year. The league average for NFL GM's is around $2 million a year.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel today, outgoing President Bob Harlan said he'd like to rip up the remainder of Thompson's current deal and give him a new four or five year contract with a considerable pay raise.
