Badgers crush Penn State in Big Ten play

The 17th ranked Wisconsin Badgers jumped out to a 20-4 lead and went on to beat the Penn State Nittany Lions 80-55 in Big Ten men's college basketball action. 

Michael Flowers poured in 23 points, Marcus Landry had 16 and Brian Butch scored 9 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the win.

The Badgers won their 8th in a row and jumped out to a 4-0 start in Big Ten play.  The Badgers sit atop the Big Ten, while Indiana is also undefeated at 3-0. 

Penn State struggled to shoot the ball against the Badgers, hitting 36.7% from the floor, 25% from three-point range and 45.5% from the free throw line. 

The Badgers meanwhile, shot 60% from the field, 55.6% from three-point range, and nearly 90% from the free throw line. 

The Badgers return home to the Kohl Center Saturday, Jan. 19 to host Northwestern.
